The Tunica County Sheriff's Office Communication Center is headed by Lieutenant Evelyn Paige. Lt. Paige is responsible for maintaining the recording system; she is also the Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) for the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and is responsible for the staff of 10 dispatchers coordinating the training and recertification of all dispatchers according to the Department of Public Safety Standard and Training guidelines.
Lieutenant Paige ensured the integrity of the department's mission that all calls are processed in a professional and courteous manner.
The Tunica County Sheriff's Office Communication Center is the Public Safety answering point for the County. The communication center is also the primary public assistant answering and transfer point for calls involving fire, ambulance or rescue.
Tunica County Communication Officers are the front line answering 911 emergency and non-urgent calls from the public. Communication Officers ability to remain clam under pressure and to think logically enables them to break through caller's shock and panic to get vital information needed to save lives and make arrests.
