Robinsonville, MS - The Tunica County Sheriff's Office has charged two suspects in connection to the armed robbery of Family Dollar in Robinsonville, MS.
On Wednesday, January 13, 2010, after the close of business, an unknown suspect walked into the Family Dollar of Robinsonville and assaulted one of the employees and took an undetermined amount of money before fleeing the store. Several units canvassed the area of the store, but were unable to locate the suspect.
After a review of the surveillance coverage on Thursday, January 14, 2010, three employees of Family Dollars were transported to the Sheriff's Office for questioning. Two subjects were held after being interviewed and the third subject was released.
On Tuesday, January 19, 2010, Paul Meadows, 18, of 2669 Kirby Road #1202 and George Peake IV, 18, of 2669 Kirby Road #2303 were officially charged with conspiracy in the armed robbery of Family Dollar. Meadows and Peake appeared before the Justice Court judge for an initial appearance/bond hearing and bond was set at $2500. George Peak IV has posted bond and Paul Meadows remains in custody at the Tunica County Sheriff's Office. This case will be bound over to the Circuit Court of Tunica County.
A third suspect, Royce Grant, 36, of 2669 Kirby Road #3902, has been identified, but remains at large.
