01/15/2014 Single Ammunition round found at Rosa Fort Middle School |

Around 12:20 p.m. today, January 15, 2014, School Resource Officers at Rosa Fort Middle School were notified by school personnel that a single ammunition round was recovered from the boy’s bathroom. The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office immediately took action and placed the school on security lock-down to ensure the safety of the students and faculty members. The Sheriff’s Office investigated this discovery utilizing K9’s and medical detectors. After a thorough search no other weapons or ammunition was discovered on school property.
