Seat belts are your best protection in accidents and it is especially important that any child in your vehicle be protected by the safety restraint appropriate to their size and weight. During the upcoming weeks, the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting more random checkpoints for seatbelt safety and also child restraints.
Deputies with the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand to demonstrate how to properly install your car seat and secure your child safely.
Also, the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office will be working closely with the local day care centers and ICS Headstart to promote child restraint safety.
