The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a missing person investigation.  On Thursday, October 26, 2017 about 9:45 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Tunica Cut-off for a welfare check.  Deputies attempted to be make contact with a Walter Bauman, who had been out in his boat earlier that day.  The MS Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks, Tunica Fire Department and Desoto County Rescue also assisted in the search. 

On today’s day, October 27, 2017, the search for Mr. Bauman continued.  Mr. Bauman’s boat was located, along with some personal items.  At this time, Mr. Bauman is classified as missing.

Walter Bauman is described as a 66 year old, white male, blue eyes, brown hair, 5’10” in height and weighing 155 lbs.
