VICTIM(S):                      SKYEESHA PIGE 

SUSPECT(S):                    ANFERNEE HARRIS & DONTARRIUS HIBBLER 

 

At approximately 3:42 p.m. on Sunday Afternoon, March 31, 2019, the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received several 9-1-1 calls in reference to shots fired in the area of Nellie Johnson Drive. 

 

On arrival Sheriff Deputies observed one (1) female subject in a vehicle that had a single gunshot wound to the head. After receiving this information, the Communications Center dispatched Pafford Ambulance Service and the Tunica Volunteer Fire Department First Responders to the scene.

 

This subject (Skyeesha Pige, Black Female, age 26, of 968 Nellie Johnson Drive, Tunica, Mississippi) was air lifted to Region One Medical Center by Pafford Air Medical Services. The subject is currently listed in Critical Condition. 

 

During the investigation, it was revealed that Skyeesha Pige was an innocent bystander traveling in her vehicle enroute to her residence when this shooting occurred. It is believed that another subject, Tevin Vardaman, while traveling on Nellie Johnson Drive in a 2001 Nissan Maxima was the intended target of the shooter. 

 

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office Investigators obtained warrants on Aggravated Assault charges for: 

  1. Anfernee J. Harris, Black Male, age 22, of 8236 Dundee Road, Dundee, Mississippi
  2. Dontarrius M. Hibbler, Black Male, age 18, of 2661 Old Highway 61, Apartment H-2, Tunica, Mississippi

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Anfernee J. Harris on Aggravated Assault charges and is currently looking for Dontarrius M. Hibbler.
