On Wednesday December 23, 2020 at approximately 6:42 pm an emergency 911 call came into the Dispatch Center in reference to a armed robbery. The robbery occurred at a local convenience store. The suspect now identified as 22 year old Joshua Johnson of Horn Lake, MS walked into the store with a hand gun demanding money from the store clerk. During the robbery the store clerk discharged his firearm injuring Joshua Johnson who then fled out of the store. Forensic evidence led Tunica Sheriff Office Deputies to a residence where it was later discovered that Joshua was driven to a surrounding hospital for treatment. Criminal charges pertaining to Joshua Johnson are forthcoming. This investigation is ongoing.
