PRESS RELEASE

TIME OF INCIDENT: 2:03 P.M. (1403 Hours)
LOCATION: Tunica Courts Apartments

DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT:
On Tuesday, December 29, 2020, the Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call stating a juvenile had possibly been shot at Tunica Courts Apartments. Deputies and first responders were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, one juvenile, a three-year-old black male, was discovered to have an
apparent gunshot wound to the back. The child was treated on scene by Pafford for his injuries and was transported to LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Tunica County Sheriff's Office has contacted Department of Human Services in reference to this incident. DHS will be assisting TCSO in this investigation. This incident remains under investigation by the Tunica County Sheriff's Office.
