Shooting in Hambrick Subdivision - Suspect Arrested & Charged

On Tuesday, January 12, 2021 the Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call stating an individual had been shot in the Hambrick Subdivision area. Upon arrival, one black male victim was discovered with an apparent gunshot wound. The individual was treated on scene by Pafford and transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
 
Romelo Hopkins, 25, of Tunica, Mississippi was identified as the shooter in this incident and a warrant for his arrest was issued on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Hopkins has been arrested and is in custody of the Tunica County Sheriff's Office.
 
Hopkins is being charged with Aggravated Assault, with additional charges pending. Hopkins is awaiting an initial appearance before a judge.
