National Night Out 2022

08/11/2022

Monday, August 1, 2022 the Tunica County Sheriff's Office helped host and participate in its annual National Night Out/Back to School Rally at the GW Rec Center. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

A special thank you to our long time partner and friends at Hollywood Casino Tunica and 1st Jackpot Casino Tunica for your gift of back packs. The smiles on the children's faces as they receive their brand new book bag is a gift that keeps giving.
Another thank you to District Attorney Brenda F. Mitchell and the Office of the District Attorney Eleventh Circuit Court for your donation of school supplies and booklets encouraging our students to put an end to bullying. These supplies will be the tools helping our children fill their minds and succeed.

Thank you to Ricky Stevens with Delta Thrive for your safety supplies. We are glad our students got band-aids to help them in case they ever fall, be able to get back up and keep pushing on. We appreciate your willingness to come and share information about vaccines as well.

Thank you to Tunica Resorts Medical Clinic for coming and handing out pens, bags, shirts, and information to help fight the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Thank you to Inspire Health and Wellness and Mr. Weeks with Tunica Emergency Services for administering vaccines on site.
We appreciate Aaron E. Henry Community Health Center for coming and passing out at home covid tests and masks. As the school year will start wearing masks, the students are thankful to have gotten new, clean ones from you all.

Thank you Tunica 10 Point Coalition Inc and the Tunica Health & Wellness Hub for conducting blood pressure checks. Know your numbers and take control of your health!

Additionally, thank you to AT&T Store for coming and sharing information about your services, especially those exclusively available to our men and women in blue.

Thank you to Board of Supervisors President McKinley Daley and St Luke Missionary-Baptist Church for the amazing music. Thank you to Minister Evelyn Hubbard for emceeing.

Lastly, thank you to the staff of Tunica County and Tunica County Sheriff's Office for all the hard work and efforts that went into this event. We appreciate your time and commitment to making Tunica the best place to live.
