UPDATE - August 3, 2023
The Tunica County Sheriff's Office has arrested Jameshia Brown, 25, of Tunica, MS in reference to the homicide of Jimmy "Heman" Dotson that occurred July 3, 2023 at Mexico Grill. Brown has been arrested with multiple felony charges including:
• 1 count - tampering with evidence
• 1 count - possession of a stolen firearm
• 3 counts - hindering prosecution
Jameshia Brown was arrested after a search warrant was served at her residence, as well as on Jimmy Dotson's vehicle, which she has had possession of since the homicide of Jimmy Dotson on July 3, 2023.
Jameshia Brown is being held at the Tunica County Detention Center. She will be taken before a judge for an initial bond hearing.

UPDATE IN THE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION OF
JIMMY DOTSON AKA "HE-MAN"
Tunica County Sheriff's Office has issued arrest warrants and had made an official arrest for the murder of Jimmy Dotson AKA "He-Man" that happened on July 3, 2023 at Mexico Grill located at 3669 U.S. Highway 61 North in Tunica.
The subjects who have been arrested and charges are as follows:
QUINTERRANCE DEUNTAY VARDAMAN, 25, of Tunica, MS has been charged with 1st Degree Murder. Quinterrance Vardaman was arrested and charged on October 12, 2020 for the murder of Trevon Bell at the Kirby Estates Apartments in Robinsonville, MS, but has not been indicted. Vardaman has a 1st Degree Murder charge out of Memphis, TN and has been arrested in Texas as a fugitive from justice.
ROBERT EARL FLEMING, 26, of Horn Lake, MS has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder and is now being held in the Desoto County Detention Center on unrelated felony charges and facing indictment.
CHARLIE BASS, JR., 28, of Tunica, MS has been charged with Possession of Stolen Firearm.
JASEAN FRENCH, 34, of Coldwater, MS has been charged with 1st Degree Murder, but remains at large and is considered ARMED & DANGEROUS. If anyone is caught with Jasean French in their home or car; you will be charged with accessory to the crime which carries a penalty of up to 20 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections

On Monday, July 3, 2023, at approximately 4:43 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call stating that subjects were fighting at Mexico Grill restaurant, located at 3669 US Highway 61 N in Tunica, MS. The caller advised that an individual had been shot outside of the restaurant.
Sheriff deputies and Pafford EMS were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with one subject that had been shot. The individual was treated on scene by Pafford Emergency Medical Service, but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by Tunica County Coroner. The subject was later identified as 35-year-old Jimmy Dotson, aka "He Man" of Tunica, MS.
Another individual was shot and injured and left the scene in a private vehicle that was later stopped north of Tunica. The individual was transported to Region One Medical Center by Pafford EMS to be treated for his non-life-threatening injuries.
Cortez Wilkins, 43, of Tunica, MS has been identified as a person of interest in reference to this homicide investigation. Wilkins is currently in the custody of Tunica County Sheriff's Office for questioning related to this incident.

UPDATE:
On today's date, Thursday, July 6, 2023, Jasean French and Robert Fleming reported to the Tunica County Sheriff's Office for questioning. The individuals were released, pending investigation.
No official charges have been filed in the murder of Jimmy Dotson.

Robert Fleming Jr., 26, and Jasean French, 34, are wanted for questioning in reference to this incident.
