An arrest has been made in the armed robbery that occurred at Dollar General located at 13060 US 61 in Robinsonville, MS on Sunday, July 30, 2023. TRENDARIOUS HAWKINS of Tunica, MS is being held at the DeSoto County Jail on unrelated charges. He will be brought to Tunica County Detention Center and charged by the Tunica County Sheriff's Office with 1 count of armed robbery, 1 count unlawful discharge a firearm in a business, 1 count malicious mischief, 1 count felon carrying a concealed weapon, and 2 counts of aggravated assault.
On Sunday, July 30, 2023, at approximately 9:52 P.M. the Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call to an armed robbery that occurred at Dollar General located at 13060 US 61 in Robinsonville, MS. Sheriff deputies were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with witnesses who advised deputies that an unknown black male subject entered the store, walked around and demanded money.
The witnesses described the suspect as a 6'5 slim build black male, wearing all black and a red face mask.
This incident remains under investigation by the Tunica County Sheriff's Office.
