DUI Felony Arrest

David Williams, 57, of Coldwater, MS was arrested by Tunica County Sheriff's Office last night during a routine traffic stop. Williams was stopped around 7:50 pm near the intersection of Prichard Rd and Dulaney Rd. Williams was observed to be driving under the influence and was placed into custody. Upon deputies search of Williams' vehicle, narcotics were located inside the vehicle. Williams was transported to the Tunica County Detention Center and charged with the following:
-DUI - THIRD OR SUBSEQUENT CONVICTION
-NO INSURANCE
-CARELESS DRIVING
-DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED

Williams was out on probation with Mississippi Department of Corrections serving a 2 year sentence from a former possession of controlled substance and a felony bond for Domestic Violence/Aggravated Assault.
Last night's arrest by TCSO was Williams' seventh DUI arrest since 2020.
Williams appeared before Tunica County Justice Court Judge today and was issued a bond in the amount of $11,650.
