Drive By Shooting - Suspects Arrested and Charged

On Sunday, August 13, 2023, at approximately 7:35 PM the Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call stating shots had been fired from a vehicle and that the caller's vehicle had been shot traveling south on US Highway 61in the Robinsonville area. Sheriff deputies were dispatched to the area and located one, red Chevrolet Camaro with bullet holes.
The victim gave a description of the vehicle that shots were fired from as a black Honda passenger car with Mississippi tags. Sheriff deputies on patrol located a car matching the description of the vehicle that the victim gave near Highway 61 and White Oak Road. Sheriff Deputies initiated a traffic stop on this vehicle.
Sheriff deputies observed two individuals occupying the vehicle. The individuals were questioned on scene in reference to this incident. These individuals were transported to the Tunica County Sheriff's Office for further investigation.
These individuals have been identified as William Chambers, 29, of Tunica, MS and Kentanesha Chambers, 28, of Tunica, MS. These individuals have been charged as follows:
William Chambers: 3 counts of Aggravated Assault
1 count of Drive by Shooting
Kentanesha Chambers: 3 counts of Accessory After the Fact
