9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
08/27/2024
The Tunica County Sheriff's Office will host its 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Tunica National Golf and Tennis located at 1 Champion Lane in Robinsonville, MS. Lunch shall be served at 11:00 with a 12:00 p.m. shotgun start. This year the tournament is to be held in honor of Kederion "T-Mane" Daley.
As in previous years, proceeds from this tournament will benefit the Le Bonheur Children's Hospital located in Memphis, Tennessee. Le Bonheur serves as the region's primary, level 1 pediatric trauma center. Being recognized among the nation's "Best Children's Hospitals" by U.S. News & World Report for 12 consecutive years, Le Bonheur is always on the side of children, advocating on their behalf so we can provide them with the care they need. From the ordinary bumps and sniffles of childhood to its most life-altering extremes, Le Bonheur Children's is prepared for whatever a child's life might throw at us.
Tunica County Sheriff's Office is excited to host this event for its ninth year and hope you will join us. The cost of team registration is $500 ($125/person) and includes lunch. We are actively seeking both individual and corporate sponsorships currently.
Kederion Daley was an 11 year old, sixth grade student at Tunica Middle School. He was an outstanding athelte. From the time he could walk, he had a heart for the game of baseball. Bigger than his love for baseball, was his love for life. He is remembered as the most respectful, modest, and caring young man. He touched the heart of everyone who met him. Kederion would have graduated high school this year with the Rosa Fort Class of 2024, where he had dreams of playing professional baseball or joining the military.
On April 6, 2018, Kederion became critically ill, had a seizure, and went into a coma. He was treated at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital over the course of the next three months. Unfortunately, T-Mane did not receive his healing this side of heaven and tragically was received by God in Heaven on July 23, 2018.
While at LeBonheur, staff delivered outstanding care to Kederion, consistently displaying a deep understanding of his needs and providing a warm and supportive environment. Their compassion, empathy, and passion for his well-being were unwavering, making a significant difference in his journey.
From Kederion's family, "The staff's commitment to our son's comfort and happiness surpassed our expectations at every turn. The staff went way beyond their duties to make sure Kederion and our family were cared for daily."
