We're asking everyone to check on friends and neighbors, especially older adults, people with chronic conditions, outdoor workers and athletes. You could make all the difference by sending a text, making a call or knocking on their door.
*Stay away from direct sun exposure from about 10 AM to 4 PM
*Avoid strenuous activities, get rested
*Wear light-colored, loose clothing and sunglasses
*Place a cool towel on the back of your neck
*Take cool showers and baths
*Keep your house cool or spend time in places with air conditioning
*Use sunscreen to avoid sunburn
*Drink water and eat fresh foods
