As we're heading into a period of significantly colder weather here in Tunica, MS, please make a plan for your furry friends to stay safe and warm. Fur alone won't protect them in dangerous cold.

Here's a look at the upcoming forecast for our area so you can prepare:

-Thursday: Mild with highs in the low 50s, lows in the mid-30s.

-Friday: MUCH colder with highs near 38°F and lows around 15°F - freezing conditions start.

-Saturday & Sunday: Very cold with highs only in the 20s and lows in the low teens to single digits, with wintry mix possible.

-Early Next Week: Continued very cold with highs below freezing and lows near 0°F to single digits.
